Rabbits are social animals just like cats or dogs and need plenty of attention. The more they are handled the more friendly they will be. I handle all of my rabbits from birth and guarantee to sell a friendly rabbit who accepts being handled well, as long as the buyer continues to handle the bunny properly. Rabbits have very fragile backs, so careful handling is very important. Your pet needs to feel safe and secure when being picked up and being held. It needs to have it's rump supported by one hand to prevent it from getting scared. The other hand can either grasp the scruff of the neck or under the chest(supporting the front legs and chest). I prefer to grasp under the chest since the rabbits seem to be calmer this way.
