Velvet Lions have a very unique plush coat of rex fur that doesn't need very much grooming. However; since
velvet lions also have manes you may need to do some combing to prevent mats from forming. It does appear
that the rex fur gene causes the mane to not tangle as easily as wool rabbits with normal fur (angoras and
lionheads) would. The fur on the body can be brushed or gently pulled out when it gets loose.
It is a good idea to trim your rabbit's toenails once every 1-2 months. This prevents them from overgrowing and causing health
problems. Nails that are too long can be painful for the rabbit as well as the person handling it.
